A stunning original large Cadburys Cocoa Do Your Shopping Early enamel sign sold for a record £5,800 at Unique Auctions Antiques & Collectors Auction on the 24th September.
The sign measures 4′ x 3′ and has no restoration and was in amazing condition. The large enamel sign feature a Mother Daughter in a two horse carriage with a driver, off to do their shopping early as per advice of the sign DO YOUR SHOPPING EARLY. It is branded Cabury’s Cocoa Absolute Pure Therefore Best.
As well as bidders in the internet several collectors had travelled to Lincoln for the auction and the sign was eventually sold for £5,800 to a room bidder.
