Our New Years Day auction includes a number of interesting scientific items including:

A John Barlow’s Vernier Asimuth Compass navigator comprising compass, barometer, 24hr clock, relative humidity, temperature and automatic ships bell code for eight watches.

A small dumpy style surveyor’s level by T B Winter of Newcastle, complete with additional telescope tube and staff head mount. With original chemically bronze brass finish and contained within a hardwood box

A standard size surveyor’s level by T B Winter of Newcastle with staff head mount, polished brass finish and mounted within a hardwood box

An impressive late Victorian/Edwardian 3″ refracting telescope by C F Casella & Co., Ltd. Brass body tube and fittings, several eyepieces, terrestrial tube, right angle viewer and a Broadhurst Clarkston sun diagonal with filters mounted on a substantial oak tripod. Complete with original mahogany box.
