Unique Auctions Art sale on the 27th March includes a number of works of local interest including ‘Monument and dock office, Hull’ by Albert George Stevens (1863-1925). Albert George Stevens (1863-1925) was one of the original members of the Staithes group.

The Staithes group or Staithes School was an art colony of 19th-century painters based in the North Yorkshire fishing village of Staithes.
Inspired by French Impressionists such as Monet, Cézanne and Renoir, the group of about 25 artists worked together in plein air, in oil or watercolour (source wikipedia).

The evening Art sale including Paintings, Watercolours, Oils, Lithographs, Print & Old Maps takes place on Thursday 27th March starting at 6pm. Viewing takes place from 2pm.
