About Flavio Poli
Flavio Poli (Born 1900 in Chioggia , Died 1984 in Venice ) was an Italian glass designer.
Flavio Poli was trained as a ceramicist behind him when he began a collaboration in 1929 with the glass factory IVAM, for whom he designed a massive sculptures. He became famous in 1934, however, with his designs for the Venetian glassworks on Seguso Murano . whose artistic director he took over and held until his retirement in 1963.  In the 1950s he designed a series of mouth-blown vessels made in cameo glass , and in 1954 with the Compasso d’Oro award. He also won in that time, with its contemporary molded glassware four Grand Prix awards at the Milan Triennial exhibitions. Source Wikipedia.
